Authorities have made a significant breakthrough in the investigation of a tragic double homicide that shook the community of Pleasanton. Pleasanton Police Detectives have identified 31-year-old Allen Swadley of San José as the suspect in the killings of two Pleasanton residents. Following an intensive investigation, a warrant was issued for Swadley’s arrest on Wednesday, February 18.
The arrest came late Thursday evening when the San José Police Department conducted a traffic stop after receiving an alert from an Automated License Plate Reader system. Police noted that he has no prior criminal history.
The victims have been identified as 67-year-old Lori Simonds and 28-year-old Evan Simonds, both residents of Pleasanton.
